“Intention” is a 48 x 36 inch acrylic on canvas and was completed in 2019. It is located down “Community Way” hallway in an alcove on the right side, after you pass the history wall on the left. This canvas was donated by the Volunteers of Atrium Health Cabarrus in honor of Phyllis Wingate.

Barbara Ellis is a non-objective abstract painter who lives and works in Charlotte, NC. Her colorful paintings respond to meditations, dreams, and being consciously human in the world. Surprising forms and movement emanate from her work as she uses the abstract expressionist process to channel emotional states into visual form.
