This three part series of circles is located on the right wall before the Donor Wall as you come from the main entrance of Atrium Health Cabarrus. Completed in 2016, each panel measures 40 x 40 inches unframed. The artist created these panels using acrylic paint and silver leaf on paper and then mounted to board.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Shaun Cassidy’s artistic practice explores the interplay of color, surface, and form, aiming to evoke feelings and a contemplative state akin to being surrounded by natural beauty. His creations focus on emotional memories, offering viewers a transformative experience within a materially inventive framework. His diverse body of work includes steel sculptures, where he uses powder coating for color, and subtractive drawings, which involve sanding layers of paint and using plywood templates to create texture.
